Michigan Safety Conference is Michigan’s world-class health and safety event for workplace safety professionals. From classes and CEUs to exhibits and workshops, the annual event draws thousands of professionals to Lansing each year. The Michigan Safety Conference had an old site, built in Joomla content management system, a separate registration system and exhibitor system. They wanted to replace their aging web site and streamline registration and class signups. Working with Michigan Safety Conference, we first explored multiple solutions to event registration and organizational management software, answering questions about what they needed and why. This agnostic project involved exploring all options for event, and organization management that might not include their existing web site at all. The MSC selected a WordPress and EventEspresso combination for their new site, linking it to their custom-built mobile application.
Ann Siegle was instrumental in helping the Michigan Safety Conference choose the right website platform and module software to rebuild our entire website. Our main concerns were with regard to customer credit card safety and ease of use. We also wanted staff to be able to build forms and update the site themselves. Ann provided simple, easy to understand training. The transition was smooth and affordable thanks to her knowledge and advice.
